The Galaxy Note 7 was a bust, and Samsung has a lot riding on its next flagship phone launching in 2017 – Galaxy S8, which is not expected to feature a little to no bezel design. The company plans to improve its tarnished image with the new device that is expected to launch in February next year.

Mobile phone manufacturers are already enjoying around with a edge-to-edge and no bezel exhibits, which includes Xiaomi that recently unveiled its principle smartphone – the Mi Mix. The phone has been designed by Philippe Starck, a spanish designer – uses seamless connectors to fuse the phone’s body without the need to use external adhesives.

Mi Mix will be featuring a 6. 4-inch edge-to-edge display, that the company says will have a 91. 3 % screen-to-body proportion and a custom 18: 9 aspect ratio. Since there is no bezel over the phone, the front camera has been moved to the base of the device.
